During Sleep
While the general rule for hair extension maintenance is to do the same
care you do with your natural hair, curly hair extensions need more attention.
Improper care might cause it to lose its former curl and fullness. One way you
can take care of it as you go to bed is to part it in the center and braid them
into two, then fluff it out in the morning. It also helps to let it be exposed
to steam, since it could help in expanding back the hair’s original fullness.
Hair Products
Like products for your natural hair, you should also be picky when it
comes to the hair products used for your extensions. If it contains a lot of
alcohol, then it’s probably not the right choice for it since curly hair tends
to dry quicker than any other type. Light oils and sulfate-free shampoos and
conditioners are usually the best choices; and make sure that it would be able
to penetrate through your natural hair.
