Mail Online reported about archaeologists discovering the remains of hundreds of people in Amarna with their final hairstyles well preserved. Interestingly, one of the skulls is of a woman with 70 elaborate hair extensions fastened together. The extensions are made up of grey and black hair, suggesting that it was made with multiple hair donors. It’s still under examination whether Egyptians used hair extensions only for burial ceremonies or also in daily life (both are just as likely).
